Our Club operates from five locations throughout Sydney - at Hornsby, Kellyville Ridge, Ryde and Stanhope Gardens. Classes are being held in a fun, safe and challenging environment and cater to people of all ages from 5 years old to over 50 years old – from beginners, intermediate to advance players. Sessions vary from junior classes, intermediate/senior classes, combined classes and tournament training classes.

There is a strong sense of family atmosphere in the club with many students and practitioners coming from the same family – fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, brothers, sisters and cousins – who all train together. A parents committee has been formed to assist the club in hosting many fun-filled activities, training camps and events.

All sessions are run by Master Hong who is ably assisted by his team of accredited coaches and long-time Taekwondo practitioners through the National Coaching Accreditation Scheme (NCAS).

There are also a number of Black Belts who are licensed referees through accreditation with the National Officiating Accreditation Scheme (NOAS) who represent the club in officiating in local, state and national tournaments.

Training programs are designed to improve flexibility, coordination, muscular strength, endurance and cardiovascular fitness. It also promotes and instills the tenets of Taekwondo to its members such as respect, discipline, modesty, perseverance, and indomitable spirit.

Tournament players undergo intensive training in Kyorugi (sparring) and Poomsae (patterns) with the aim of developing confidence, timing, accuracy, speed and power to help them achieve their potentials.

Our affiliation with Taekwondo Australia NSW Inc, Taekwondo Australia Inc and World Taekwondo Federation ensures participation in local, regional, state, national and international tournaments.

Come and join us, learn, improve your fitness and have fun!

Natalia Ecarma Sangalang (Team Manager & Instructor)

I have been training in Taekwondo for more than 20 years. I am a 3rd Dan Black Belt and a Certified Coach and Tournament Referee through NCAS and NOAS.

Taekwondo has been part of my life for many years and I still
love doing it for my fitness and as a means to unwind from my daily work as a Corporate Banker. I competed and won in local, regional and national tournaments in my early years.
I had been a National Team player representing the Philippines in the welter weight division from 1990 to 1994. During this time,
I was also a member of the Philippine National Demonstration Team and the elite Blackbelt Club of the Philippine Taekwondo Association. After retiring from competition, I became an instructor for my old club and coached
young kids to many tournaments. I was also a referee in national championships. Other highlights in Taekwondo include organising the awarding of medals, the opening and closing ceremonies for 3 international competitions namely the: 16th Southeast Asian Games in 1991, 11th Asian Taekwondo Championships in 1994 and 12th World Taekwondo Championships in 1995.

Most recently, I have been appointed State Newsletter Coordinator by Taekwondo Australia NSW Inc to disseminate information and help promote the sport of Taekwondo.

Taekwondo has given me invaluable experiences, friendships and skills that I uphold and treasure. As the Club Team Manager and Coach, my aim is to contribute to the development and promotion of Hong’s Taekwondo Australia, to assist students in achieving their goals and to share my knowledge and experiences.
